Newborn session at the Family hunting cabin

 

Pretty sure the only thing better than a newborn session, is a unique and sentimental one at a family hunting cabin!


Newborn sessions don't have to be in your home! I completely understand it may be easier; but this family wanted photos in a place that had meaning to them!

What a sweet March cold morning!

It was very cloudy and windy this morning, so we stayed inside the cabin for most of the session.


This family has been coming to this cabin for years, and it was a perfect location to take photos.

What is the best time of day to take indoor photos?


For indoor photos, the best time of day to take photos is when the sun comes through the windows the most, and natural light indoors is the brightest.


This cabin had large windows, and the sun came through early morning!


When taking photos, I look for pockets of light. The fireplace was a great backdrop, and had the prettiest lighting coming from the side.

what to wear for newborn photos?

Especially in a cabin...



This family killed it with their styling of outfits!  It was a family of 6, and they didn't all wear matching colors, but they chose to wear colors, patterns and textures that complimented each other!

They wore earth and natural tones of beige, whites, greens, browns and blues. The mom Bre, wore a beautiful beige dress that had green undertones in it, and matched with her youngest daughter Denver. The Dad, Devon and the newborn, Briggs both wore a green shirt that tied into Bre's dress.  The two daughters Nova and Ariel wore white and beige that also complimented Bre's dress.


The outfits all paired exceptionally well!!
